Shipping & Delivery

~ At major centres along the Ontario – Quebec corridor we will prepay shipment on orders with a net value of $400.00 or more.  For the rest of Canada, orders that meet the net minimum of $650.00 will be eligible for prepaid freight.  Exception: For remote locations or far northern points, please phone the office for our freight allowance policy.  Big, bulky, oversized items i.e., glass, grooming tables, etc. will incur a freight charge based on weight.


~ All orders are carefully packed and are the buyer’s responsibility once we receive a clear receipt from the carrier.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to count the number of boxes and assess if there is any obvious damage to the boxes.


~ Claims for ALL shortages and damages must be reported within 7 days of receipt of merchandise as per the Invoice.  Claims must be brought to the attention of either the Customer Service Department or the Representative within these 7 days. The signed bill of lading noting damages/shortage must be returned with the claim.


~ All glass such as terrariums and aquariums must be inspected upon arrival and any damages indicated on the bill of lading.  Damaged items are to be clearly identified on the bill of lading.  Any claim for broken glass that has been signed for ‘in good condition’ may be denied.  Signed ‘damaged’ bill of lading must be submitted with the claim.

 

 

Returns

~ Requests to return items that are neither damaged nor defective are the buyer’s responsibility and require authorization from Burgham Sales Ltd. prior to returning.  The product must be returned at the buyer’s expense (if not on the local truck route) and a minimum 15% restocking fee will apply. Once returned, the items will only be eligible for credit if the packaging is intact, current and the product has not been priced or shopworn.

~ Requests to return products with an expiry date will be investigated when the following two conditions are met: a) Product must have been purchased from Burgham Sales Ltd. in the previous 12 months b) Product must be returned within 30 days of the expiry date shown on the package.


~ Pest Control: Burgham Sales Ltd. subscribes to a comprehensive pest control program and recommends that all stores do the same.  We endeavor to ship only pest-free product and guarantee same upon arrival and for 30 days thereafter.  Claims will be denied for product purchased more than 30 days previous.  UPC label must be provided with all claim requests.

 

Payment, Pricing & Terms

~ Net 30 day for accounts with approved credit – C.O.D. for all other accounts.

~ Payment can be made via online banking from most major banks and credit unions, cash, cheque, direct deposit, visa or mastercard.

~ We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at the rate of 2% per month.

~ Prices are subject to change without notice.
